Clyburn gets it
Earlier today.
As he left the White House, House Majority Whip James Clyburn of South Carolina was asked about Republican complaints that Democrats aren't listening to what their GOP colleagues have to say. "We're responding to the American people," he said. "The American people didn't listen to them too well during the election."

Dr King's prescience
The BBC discovers a clip of Dr Martin Luther King speculating how long he thought it would take America to elect its first black president. He was a bit optimistic, but there is no doubt tomorrow would not be happening without his and many others fight for social and economic equality.

Shifting Sands
